OSB played a pivotal role in the construction of Stevenson Logistics Distribution Centre, overseeing the overall concrete construction for two warehouse buildings totaling 5000m², administration buildings, tank slabs, wash-down facilities, and quarantine facilities. Our expertise encompassed all aspects of concrete supply, placement, and installation, as well as formwork, reinforcement, precast concrete works, and crane-age and rigging, ensuring the successful completion of this expansive logistics facility.

Scope of Works:

  • Managed the overall concrete construction for two warehouse buildings totaling 5000m², ensuring structural integrity and durability to meet the demands of the logistics operations.

  • Oversaw the construction of administration buildings, tank slabs, wash-down facilities, and quarantine facilities, providing essential infrastructure for the smooth functioning of the distribution center.

  • Handled all aspects of concrete supply and placement, utilizing advanced techniques and equipment to achieve precise results and maintain project timelines.

  • Coordinated concrete pumping operations to facilitate efficient placement of concrete in various areas of the distribution center.

Project description

OSB spearheaded the construction of Sims Metals, a state-of-the-art scrap metal facility, encompassing various structural elements and concrete works essential for its operations. Our expertise extended to the construction of shredder area plinths, walls, footings, and columns, as well as the construction and placement of tilt-up walls for the Shredder control building. Additionally, OSB managed the installation of weighbridge infrastructure and the placement of 43,000 m² of concrete pavement, facilitating seamless operations within the facility.

Scope of Works:

  • Oversaw the construction of scrap metal facility structures, including shredder area plinths, walls, footings, and columns, utilizing advanced techniques and materials to ensure durability and structural integrity.

  • Managed the construction and placement of tilt-up walls for the Shredder control building, leveraging off-site manufacturing to streamline construction and accelerate project delivery.

  • Facilitated the installation of weighbridge infrastructure to support the accurate weighing and tracking of incoming and outgoing materials, enhancing operational efficiency and compliance.

  • Placed 43,000 m² of concrete pavement, providing durable and stable surfaces for the movement of heavy equipment and materials within the facility.
