Project description

Mardie Salt project is a high-grade salt and sulphate of potash project being developed at approximately 80km from Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The project is expected to produce four million tonnes per annum of salt and 100,000tpa of SOP from seawater through its operational life of 60 years. The project will concentrate seawater through solar and wind evaporation to sustainably produce high-purity sodium chloride salt and sulphate of potash.

Scope of work packages

This included the construction of a 400-person village, installation of site compounds, domes, and mechanic workshops. Additionally, we completed the construction of pump transfer stations 2-3 and 3-4, electrical stations 2-3 and 3-4, and a gas pipeline crossover. Our responsibilities also encompassed the supply of concrete (N/class and S/class) site-wide, including concrete pumping services, as well as providing labor and plant from our hire divisions.
