Koodaideri Project

Principal- Rio Tinto

Project Description: Gudal-Darri (Koodaideri ) iron ore mine, located 110 kilometers from the town of Newman and around 35 kilometers north-west of Rio Tinto's Yandicoogina mine in Western Australia's Pilbara region, is a major project by Rio Tinto. With significant reserves of 598Mt at 61.9% iron content, the mine is poised to become one of the region's largest.

Scope of work packages

Over four years on site, OSB contributed to various work packages, commencing with the construction of a 2000-person construction village and water treatment plant. This led to involvement in civil and structural works, encompassing bulk and detailed earthworks for roads, dams, and carparks. Activities included culvert installations, drainage systems, services provision, compound facility construction, dome structure erection, workshops establishment, and NPI works. Additionally, OSB collaborated with multiple contractors, supplying them with labor and equipment from our hire divisions.
